Why Is Vinicius Junior Furious with Real Madrid? The Shocking Details Explained!

The Reason Behind Vinicius’ Fury with Real Madrid

Vinicius Junior is facing a tough reality as Real Madrid’s management abruptly withdraws their promise of a €10 million annual bonus, leaving him contemplating a departure. His relationship with the club is deteriorating rapidly, creating a bleak outlook for the Brazilian superstar.

Back in May, Vinicius appeared close to finalizing a pivotal deal with Real Madrid. According to ESPN, the new contract was set to provide the 25-year-old forward with a fixed salary of up to €20 million per year, accompanied by an additional €10 million bonus tied to individual and team achievements, such as goals, assists, and trophies won. This adjustment would have made his earnings among the highest in the squad—comparable to those of Kylian Mbappe.

Both parties were on the verge of agreement, planning to extend Vinicius’ stay at Bernabeu until 2030. However, Real Madrid suddenly altered the negotiated terms. The €10 million bonus, a critical incentive that would allow Vinicius to accept without disturbing the club’s salary structure, was completely scrapped.

Instead, the revised proposal from Real centers solely on a fixed salary of around €20-23 million per year, devoid of any enticing variable components. This has understandably angered Vinicius, who now feels treated “unfairly.” Compounding the situation is a growing discord with coach Xabi Alonso since the start of the season, which has only worsened his frustration.

Currently, Vinicius’ contract runs until June 2027, with a salary estimated at about €17 million per year—including bonuses. Negotiations between the player and the club may extend into 2026, as “Los Blancos” still regard Vinicius as a valuable asset. Will this discord lead him to seek new horizons, or can they still find common ground?
